It is important to keep your medication records up to date and accurate. Please bring all of your medications to each visit.
Please try to alert our office in advance of you running out of medications so that we can assure sufficient time to place your refill order.
We will make every effort to refill your medicines the same day, but calls late in the afternoon may not be refilled until the next business day.
You will be contacted by a phone call or a letter with your laboratory results. If you do not receive a phone call or letter, please call our office and alert our staff. It is important to make sure we have up to date address and contact numbers.
Hospitalization can be a frightening experience. Anyone who is looking for a new physician should ask "What happens if I need to be admitted to the hospital?" Many physicians have chosen to focus on providing excellent outpatient care and have opted to allow a specially trained physician called a "hospitalist" to provide care to their patients in the hospital.
We admit our patients to Mission Hospitals, in Asheville. We have partnered with two groups of local Hospitalists, one which specializes in adult inpatient care and the other that specializes in pediatric hospital medicine. Each hospitalist has special skills which allows him or her to provide the best, most up to date, hospital care. We will be involved in your care by discussing with the hospitalists your medical history, current medications, and any other information that may be helpful. We will be informed of your progress, and will be given a full report upon discharge so that we can continue to provide you with the best possible care when you return home.
